Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for a Credit Controller at Financial Shared Services Division in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the full credit control function for the AVI Group.
Line Manager: Team Leader Credit Control
Number of Direct Reports: 0
Job Specification:
1. Account Management
2. Payments of debtors’ accounts in line with AVI’s trading terms
3. Journals for discounts and rebates
4. Reconciliations of the debtors’ accounts
5. Customer statements
6. Facilitate new accounts
7. Master file maintenance
8. Communicating with business units
9. Customer visits to ensure good working relationships
10. Assist with query resolutions on claims
11. Insurance management
12. Order Release
Customer Visits / Insights
1. Regular visits of customers to resolve queries and build relationships
2. Deal with internal stakeholders
3. Know Your Customer
Reporting and Analysis
1. Report to Team Leader / Credit Manager around monthly debtors’ performance and queries
2. Analyse issues in the portfolio and make recommendations on possible remedies
Administration
1. Audit facilitation
2. Customer, business unit and treasury communication
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Credit Controller
2. Previous working experience within the FMCG industry
3. SAP ERP exposure
Qualifications:
1. Matric / Grade 12 is essential
2.
A financial qualification would be advantageous
3. A qualification in Credit Management (1, 2 and 3) would be advantageous
