A manufacturing and distribution company is currently seeking a Credit Controller in the Rental division. As the Credit Controller you will oversee and manage the companys accounts receivable, ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding invoices. This includes maintaining accurate transaction records and resolving any payment discrepancies or issues.
As a Credit Controller you will responsible for the following:
- Accurately process daily payments received.
- Send invoices and statements to customers promptly.
- Obtain necessary signatures on invoices to upload them to Ariba and Coupa for payment.
- Gather required quotes to update expired or depleted purchase orders.
- Address customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account balances.
- Assist with pro forma invoices for sales orders to secure deposit payments.
- Regularly review accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and facilitate collections.
- Contact customers with overdue balances via phone or email to request payment and negotiate terms as needed.
- Update customer records with changes to contact information, credit limits, and payment terms.
- Prepare and present regular updates on accounts receivable aging, collection efforts, and relevant financial metrics to management.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions, correspondence, and payment history.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements related to accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, to resolve payment and billing issues and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Assist with logging credit applications on the BCB portal.
- Submit overdue accounts for collection with BCM.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric/Grade 12 (Certificate required)
Diploma / degree in accounting
Credit Management advantageous
Minimum of 3 5 years experience in a similar position
Construction / Rentals industry is preferred
Accpac would be benefitial
