Are you an experienced accountant with a passion for numbers, organization, and efficiency? My client in the renewable energy industry is looking for a Junior Accountant to join the team and take charge of key financial functions, including invoicing, bookkeeping, and reporting. This role offers a great opportunity to grow and make an impact within a growing finance department.
Perform all bookkeeping and client invoicing functions
Manage accounts payable and pay supplier invoices promptly
Handle data entry of receipts, invoices, and disbursements in Xero
Reconcile bank statements and assist with banking and treasury functions
Prepare and submit VAT reports and returns accurately and on time
Verify payroll processes and ensure compliance with PAYE/SDL/UIF requirements
Conduct supplier and customer reconciliations on a monthly basis
Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure findings from auditors are implemented
Collaborate with auditors across multiple entities and provide timely financial reports to the Finance Manager
Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience (experience in consolidated reporting, vendor management, billing, and project accounting is a plus)
Proficiency with Xero and Caseware
Excellent financial reporting skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills
Qualification:
A BCom degree
