Finance & Procurement Candidate- Needed for a prestigious Interior Design firm Based in Sandton

Great opportunity to work on 5 Star international, luxurious hospitality projects located across the globe such as Europe, Asia and UAE, Africa, Seychelles, etc.

An Interior Design Company that specializes in transforming spaces through innovative design solutions. The team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results for their clients, and they are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant and Procurement Officer to support their financial and procurement processes.

Job Summary:

The Finance Assistant and Procurement Officer will play a key role in managing the financial operations and procurement activities of the firm.





This dual role involves assisting with financial record-keeping, budgeting, and reporting, while also overseeing the procurement of materials and services necessary for the design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Assistant Duties:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.

Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Support the finance team with financial reporting and analysis.

Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Procurement Officer Duties:

Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers for materials and services.

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

Manage procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials for projects.







Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure ongoing quality and service.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering of supplies as necessary.

Collaborate with design teams to understand project-specific procurement needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience (2+ years) in a finance assistant or procurement role, preferably in the interior design or construction industry.

Strong knowledge of financial principles and procurement processes.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.







Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with project management software- Excel

Knowledge of design materials and furnishings is a plus.

Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
