A well-known international laboratory and life sciences equipment company requires the above to manage key accounts and develop new business within the SA market.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A BSc degree or a BA Degree in business administration or sales or a related qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience having worked in a sales or key accounts role is preferred.
- Previous experience working within the laboratory or sciences industry in a sales role is preferred but not essential.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Previous experience working on Salesforce or a related CRM System is preferred.
- Must have good communication and negotiation skills, the ability to build rapport and time management and planning skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing key accounts and developing new business within the SA market.
- Attending meetings with new and existing key accounts as well as planning weekly sales activities and attending company meetings to discuss opportunities with other team members.
- Attending site meetings for tenders, projects and sales enquiries and attending compulsory tender meetings.
- Presenting new and existing products to clients.
- Attending and following up on to daily quotations and new business opportunities.
- Offering sales advice and resolving queries from customers.
- Presenting end user seminars (actual and web seminars).
- Attending exhibitions, forums, conferences and site meetings.
- Attending training sessions to keep up to date with latest technology and products on the market.
- Driving and achieving company sales targets.
- Presenting sales reports to the to the director and national sales manager on KPIs and sales activities.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
