Introduction
Are you an aspiring accountant with a strong focus on preparing month-end reports, management accounts, and journals? AUXO Group, a leading international recruitment business headquartered in the UK, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to support our dynamic finance team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Reports: Prepare month-end financial reports, ensuring all transactions and journal entries are accurately posted and reconciled.
- Management Accounts: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and providing financial insights.
- Journals: Post and reconcile journals, including accruals, prepayments,
and other adjusting entries.
- General Ledger Transactions: Process and maintain general ledger transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
- Financial Statements: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
- VAT Returns: Manage VAT returns and respond to any related queries.
- Cost Analysis: Perform in-depth cost analysis to support management decision-making.
- Budgeting Support: Assist with budget preparation and forecasting for mid-year reviews.
- Audit Assistance: Prepare audit schedules and support the audit process for both internal and external audits.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Skills and Qualifications:
- Finance Qualification: Relevant finance qualification or in progress (CIMA preferred).
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience working with management accounts, particularly in preparing month-end reports and journals.
- Foreign Currency Proficiency:
Experience working with foreign currencies and understanding their impact on financial statements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting and processes.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
