Introduction

Our client, a leader in the HVAC industry, has a position for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team in the Finance department, reporting to the Finance Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing and reporting on the company’s financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insights into financial performance. This role involves the preparation of financial statements, managing budgets, conducting audits, and supporting strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements (with the relevant reconciliations),





balance sheets (with the relevant reconciliations).
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and maintain budgetary controls.

- Audit and Compliance:

- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial legislation.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit readiness.

- Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Provide regular financial insights and reports to management.

- Stakeholder Engagement:

- Work closely with operational teams to understand the financial impacts of business activities.






- Present financial results and insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Key Qualifications:

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Diploma in Accounting.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA) nice to have.

- Experience:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience with audit preparation and financial reporting.

- Skills:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial software, especially EWorks and Xero
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
