Vish Services is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee various civil projects. They should excel in teamwork, be highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines while staying within budget.ResponsibilitiesDevelops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, conferring with management.Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes,
recommending actions.Controls project costs by approving expenditures, administering contractor contracts.Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.Ensuring compliance with design/specifications and standardsEnsuring compliance with programme and all knowledge area.Attending site meetingsPreparing reportsMaintains product and company reputation by complying with international standards and state regulations.RequirementsBEng (Civil), or equivalent degree.Must be professionally registered or registrable with ECSA as PrEng, and SAICE Good experience in bulk water and wastewater municipal infrastructure, storm water systems, earthworks, basic road and drainage systems. Some process design experience will be advantageous.Experience of managing a team of junior and senior employeesMinimum 5 years in engineering design,
management and Construction.Extensive experience in design and construction of bulk steel water pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, abstraction works and water treatment plants.Minimum 5 years after professional (ECSA) registration or any other recognised professional bodiesProven track in management and leadership within consulting firmKnowledge of MS Office, MS Project, various civil and water design software.Drivers Licence is Essential.SkillsEffective CommunicationStrong leadership and managementComplex Problem SolvingProject ManagementFinancial ManagementPay attention to detailsDocuments RequiredPlease respond to the advert with your CV, Education Qualifications and ECSA certificate for verification.
