Requirements

- A Relevant degree in the Built Environment
- Extensive proven senior management and strategic planning

experience in human settlement, housing development,

implementation, land acquisition and development to increase

density and to meet the requirements of the housing market







- Proven experience in transversal management and strategic

planning

- Experience in contract and consultancy management
- Experience in budget management
- Computer literacy
- A valid Code 8 driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas

- Transversally direct and manage the Housing Development

projects and programmes

- Develop, plan and implement an Integrated Housing Development

(HD) strategic plan

- Direct and oversee the management of Departmental

programmes in an integrated way

- Coordinate the performance of contractors and the dissemination

of information regarding contractors and consultants

- Direct and control outcomes associated with utilisation productivity

and performance of personnel and finance

- Implement sound communication mechanisms, build and maintain

good working relationships and release factual information on a

regular basis

- Formulation of policies relating to consumer services, housing

allocations and the coordination and planning of events, exhibition

stands and workshops







- Strategic management of all departmental resources to ensure it

meets its service delivery objectives

- Efficient stakeholder, information and knowledge management

through various effective communication mediums.
