The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mineral processing and a proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion. This role requires technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for continuous improvement in project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple mineral processing projects, ensuring they are completed timeously, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and implement project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and procurement, to ensure project success.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle,
from design to commissioning.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mining, Metallurgical, Chemical, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering within the Mineral Processing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of mineral processing techniques, equipment, and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
