Position : New Business Development Manager

Areas: Pretoria East

Work setup: Hybrid – 2 days in office.

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results driven New Business Development Manager to join their team. Our client is very entrepreneurial in nature and the successful candidate would need to match this entrepreneurial side of things and love working in a fast paced and changing environment.

Minimum requirements:

- At least 8+ years in Sales in a solution-selling environment
- A tertiary degree in Business Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven track record in a software sales environment with a preference of knowledge in Big Data, specifically Spatial Data






- Experience in selling to international markets preferred
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends
- Exceptional sales and customer relationship management skills with in-depth knowledge of the market, including extensive industry contacts on executive and senior management levels
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets

Main responsibilities

- Seek out and initiate new business opportunities
- Execute on incoming new business leads from receipt to deal closure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Develop and implement new business development strategies
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape with the aim of collaborating with the marketing team on go to market strategies
- Provide input from the industry/customer base on product roadmap/development requirements






- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of new business development initiatives
- Monitor and report on new business development activities and results
- Consistently meet or exceed new business targets
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
