SPECIFICATION The Sales Consultant will market and sell the company's products and services directly to prospective clients while building and maintaining healthy, long-term relationship with them. To maintain a client portfolio and to ensure that all related queries and complaints are dealt with in a professional manner.
Responsibilities

- To identify and develop profitable new business opportunities while achieving sales targets;
- To develop new sales leads and build a database of potential clients;
- To follow the company's standard operating procedures at all times;
- To maintain and grow existing business by maximising cross/up selling opportunities;






- To develop strong client relationships to enhance and increase sales potential;
- To keep up to-date records for all existing and prospective client interactions on company's systems.
- To prepare detailed and professional written proposals and quotations where applicable;
- To ensure a professional sales approach is followed at all times;
- To ensure that your current customer portfolio is satisfied and that all payments are collected within the acceptable parameters;
- To ensure all sales transactions comply with the company's standard terms and conditions
- Working hours are 07h30 to 16h30 Monday to Friday – No overtime will be paid unless specifically approved and detailed by the Sales Manager.
- Be punctual, responsible and diligent in all tasks and duties attended to.
- Complete accurate and timely sales administration records
- Submit to the Manager all relevant reports, paperwork and update on all future sales activity
- Any additional responsibilities as required from time to time






- Comply with company policy and procedure

Qualifications

- Grade 12 with English and a second language
- Literacy - read and write English and at least 1 official language
- PC Literacy - word, excel, email and internet
- working/sales experience
- Pass technical competence tests on all products
- Display an understanding and knowledge of the product and industry
- Business Writing skills
- Negotiation skills
- Telephonic sales & Etiquette
- Confident communicator both over the phone and in writing
- Strong sales approach including negotiating, handling objections and closing a deal.
- The ability to resolve problems with clients and arrive at decisions which allow the business to move forward






- Actively participate in team meetings and use your market knowledge to sell products effectively
- Ability to work in team orientated environment and contribute in a positive manner
- Ability to work independently and self-managed
