Position Overview: Are you passionate about the art of pastry making? Do you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment where creativity and precision are key? We're looking for a talented Pastry Chef de Partie to join a dynamic team, where your expertise will play a key role in delivering high-quality desserts to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and present high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts in line with restaurant standards.
- Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to develop new and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure all food safety standards are met,
including the maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry section.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management of pastry ingredients.
- Manage junior staff and apprentices, providing guidance and mentoring as required.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring timely production and consistency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pastry Chef de Partie role or similar.
- Formal culinary training with a focus on pastry.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including chocolate work, sugar work, and bread making.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
