A well-known international laboratory and life sciences equipment company requires the above to manage and drive distributor sales strategies and performance with their distributors who are based in Africa within the life sciences industry. Minimum requirements for the role:
- A BSc degree or diploma in a sciences or a business administration or sales or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience having managed distributor’s is essential for the role.
- Previous experience having worked within the laboratory or sciences industry is preferred but not essential.
- Previous export sales experience dealing with distributors within Africa is advantageous but not essential.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Previous experience working on SalesForce or a related CRM System is preferred.
- Must have good communication and negotiation skills, the ability to build rapport and time management and planning skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and driving the companies distributors who are based in Africa within the life sciences industry.
- Developing and implementing dealer sales strategies and managing dealer performance.
- Supporting dealers with sales and marketing efforts, providing product training for dealers and managing dealer relationships and dealer network expansion.
- Planning weekly sales and compiling reports and supporting dealer sales processes and monitoring market and competitor activity.
- Attending industry events, trade shows, exhibitions, conferences and distributor meetings and training them on their latest product range.
- Presenting weekly and monthly reports on export and distributor activities to senior management.
- Travelling into Africa 2 weeks every 3 months to visit distributors.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
