About the Role:
Join our client’s team as a Service Advisor for commercial vehicles. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring top-notch service and smooth operations in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work meets customer requirements and authorizations.
- Print and forward specifications/readjustments .
- Liaise with stakeholders on repair outcomes.
- Minimize idle time by assisting with service and repairs.
- Maintain workshop productivity standards.
- Report and address productivity/quality issues promptly.
Customer Service:
- Deliver “fix right first time” service excellence.
- Maintain and improve customer service index percentages.
- Conduct accurate vehicle diagnoses.
- Obtain authorization for additional work.
- Ensure vehicles are tested for quality.
- Pre-cost jobs and invoice before customer collection.
- Provide timely updates to customers on delays.
- Explain all work done at handover.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and complaints.
- Adhere to procedures for loan cars.
Finance and Administration:
- Plan daily activities effectively.
- Meet labor sales and performance targets.
- Manage and control expenses.
- Pre-write job cards.
- Record warranty claims accurately.
- Use progress control to meet deadlines.
- Manage Work In Progress (WIP) strictly.
- Monitor and control cash outstanding.
- Ensure correct payments are obtained.
- Follow credit control procedures.
Product, Technical & Business Knowledge:
- Stay updated on industry developments (new products, warranty, maintenance).
- Attend all required product and technical training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12.
- Computer literate (experience with Kerridge preferred).
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of the motor industry is preferable.
- Certified Service Advisor (advantageous).
- Valid driver’s license.
