About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Finance Manager to join our team in the vibrant Retail industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with experience / newly qualified CA (SA)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development, monitoring, and management of budgets to optimise financial performance.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis to identify potential savings and efficiency improvements.
- Audit Support:
Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are in order.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain financial stability.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely submission of tax returns.
- Financial Planning: Assist in long-term financial planning and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business growth.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of finance experience in the home improvement retail industry, preferably with well-known retailers like Leroy Merlin, Gelmar, or Builders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
