About: Our client, a luxury hotel known for providing exceptional guest experiences in a tranquil and picturesque setting. The guests come to relax, unwind, and enjoy our world-class facilities, including their pristine pool area. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Pool Attendant to join our client's team on a fixed-term basis.
Position Overview: As a Pool Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring our pool area is maintained to the highest standards and providing a safe, welcoming environment for our guests. You will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience by offering exceptional service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety procedures are always followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and assist with any poolside needs, including providing towels, setting up sunbeds, and offering information about the facilities.
- Monitor the pool area to ensure safety, including enforcing pool rules and responding to any emergencies.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness around the pool, including tidying sunbeds, umbrellas, and poolside furniture.
- Regularly check pool chemicals and temperature to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Provide friendly and attentive service, ensuring all guest queries and requests are handled promptly.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the management team.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down any poolside events or activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, approachable attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Lifeguard certification or the ability to complete certification prior to the start date (preferred).
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of pool maintenance and safety procedures (desirable).
