Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business goals and market conditions.
- Analyse key financial metrics, including sales performance, gross margins, operating costs, and inventory turnover, providing actionable insights to optimize profitability.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for daily operations and investment needs, while optimizing working capital and inventory levels.
- Monitor and report on store performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to drive cost control and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with retail operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to optimize pricing strategies, inventory management, and cost efficiencies.
- Oversee the accounts payable/receivable functions and ensure timely and accurate reconciliations.
- Lead financial audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales tax, VAT, and other relevant obligations.
- Provide financial support for new store openings, lease negotiations, and capital expenditure decisions.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Completed CA(SA) qualification.
- 3-5 years experience post articles and 2 years experience within management.
- Experience within retail sector is non-negotiable.
