Position Overview
The Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the financial health of ALENG, by providing strategic financial guidance, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role involves coordinating tasks, understanding, and interpreting financial statements, forecasting, and managing projects costs, budget creation and adherence, and identifying and mitigating financial risk. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of financial systems and procedures, laws, regulations, and risks.
The Financial Manager plays a crucial role in helping ALENG achieve its financial goals by providing insights into financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
The role will focus on managing budgets, analysing financial data, preparing financial reports and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management, empowering ALENG leaders to make informed decisions that align with its long-term goals.
Skills and Requirements
- Relevant professional qualifications and certifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinking.
- Proven track record of success in financial management and strategic planning.
- Experience in risk management and financial instruments.
- Ability to manage the Finance Team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, work independently and well in a team,
and perform under pressure.
- Fluent in spoken and written English - knowledge of French will be an advantage.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent computer skills advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel.
- Willing to travel internationally.
