Position Overview:
As an Accountant, you will be chief of processing, working closely with your Financial Manager to execute and capture financial information to ensure timely, accurate, understandable financial information. This position offers a unique opportunity for Accountants to expand their skill set and gain valuable experience in servicing dynamic clients operating in diverse industries around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Finance Expertise: Control operational finance systems, and processes, from data entry to financial reporting.
- Treasury: Execute financial transactions and manage bank accounts, including initiations of wire transfers and bank reconciliations.
- Client Servicing:
Provide financial consulting services to our diverse client base, assisting them in achieving their financial objectives.
- Key performance indicator data gathering: Gather the necessary data to measure and report on Key Performance indicators.
- Reconciliations: Be responsible for executing accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintaining financial databases, and ensuring data integrity.
- Reporting: Compiling of and presentation of financial statements, performance reports, and variance analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes and reporting systems.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new systems, accounting regulations, and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Collaborative Environment: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including C-Suite executives, Start-up Founders and entrepreneurs, Auditors, and Legal advisors,
to provide holistic financial solutions.
Qualifications:
- SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA, AGA (SA) or similar
- 3 years experience working as an Accountant
- Experience in a Software as a Service Startup advantages
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required.
