Job Summary:
The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing various departments, including sales, production, logistics, and administration. This role requires strong leadership skills and an operational mindset. The ideal candidate must balance sales management with operational efficiency, fostering teamwork and growth across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Manage day-to-day operations across multiple departments, including sales, logistics, and production.
- Ensure seamless workflow and coordination between teams to meet organisational goals.
- Implement and monitor operational processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Sales Management:
- Oversee the sales department, including setting targets, tracking performance, and developing strategies for market expansion.
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth, develop client relationships, and identify new opportunities.
Strategic Planning & General Management:
- Assist the General Manager in formulating long-term strategic objectives and business plans.
- Analyse financial data and operational metrics to support decision-making processes.
- Lead change management initiatives and operational improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring, training, and developing team leaders in various departments.
- Facilitate communication across teams and resolve interdepartmental issues.
General Manager Succession:
- Act as the right hand to the General Manager, learning and preparing to take on the responsibilities of this role.
- Lead initiatives related to business expansion, organisational restructuring, and process improvement.
Financial and Budgetary Control:
- Oversee departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Report on financial and operational performance to senior management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in sales and business development.
- Proven experience overseeing multiple departments and teams.
- Experience in a leadership role that requires cross-departmental coordination.
- Experience in managing a company’s operational aspects and financial performance.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of operational processes and business systems.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and performance tracking.
- Familiarity with sales management techniques and strategies.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
