Job Description:
- Manage all tax reporting and accounting, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Plan and monitor tax compliance activities to meet South African regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns.
- Submit quarterly and annual tax reports on time.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, liaise with tax authorities, and support IFRS tax reporting while optimizing tax planning.
- Monitor and ensure timely submission of tax returns.
- Address queries from tax authorities regarding income tax returns and execute tax policies.
- Prepare tax records and reports in accordance with laws and regulations.
- Keep stakeholders informed about tax developments and implement necessary system changes.
- Provide tax-related information and support to finance and other business areas.
- Manage tax audits, queries, payments, and statutory filings.
- Coordinate tax reviews with auditors.
- Support tax initiatives to enhance efficiency and simplify processes.
- Assist in strategic projects and tax automation for regional entities.
- Collaborate with tax accountants, financial managers, and other teams on tax accounting, reporting, training, and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bcom Honours in Tax is essential.
- 10+ years post article experience in Tax is essential
- Manufacturing, FMCG and construction industry experience is preferred
- Proven management experience is essential
