Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency with software package installation and conversion tools (e.g., MSI)
- Experience analyzing application business needs and performance
- Expertise in software installation capture tools and optimization of functional areas (e.g., server and desktop deployments, user experience, published applications)
- Application modernization and lifecycle management (ALM)
- Knowledge of legacy (e.g., .vbs) and modern (e.g., MSIX, PSADT) installation methods
- Experience with client and server OS (Windows, Red Hat, Linux, etc.)
- Operation of Windows Servers and Windows Multisession Desktop
- Troubleshooting Windows Client OS (Windows 10 & 11)
- Experience with Active Directory, GPO,
and Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Troubleshooting infrastructure, network, and integration issues
- Experience with VMware Workspace One Access
- ITIL process experience (Incident, Change, and Problem Management)
- Maintenance task planning and execution (change management)
- Infrastructure lifecycle management
Advantageous Skills:
- Citrix Netscaler and Storefront experience (higher than 12.x)
- Knowledge of Citrix on VMware Hypervisor Stack (VMware ESXi 6.x or higher)
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
- VDI technology operation and maintenance (Microsoft and VMware Horizon)
- Citrix XenServer (7.x or higher) expertise
- Hyperconverged systems experience
- Proficiency with automation and monitoring systems
- Optimization of functional areas (e.g., server deployments, user experience)
- Automated problem remediation
- VMware Published Applications stack
- Understanding of REST API technology
Qualifications and Experience :
- A university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or comparable qualification)
- 5+ years of experience in operations with Citrix VDI and App stack
- Experience with Windows desktops, server support, and Windows Terminal Server
- Familiarity with software packaging, image creation, and hardware/software lifecycle management
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Problem, Incident, Change management)
Role and Responsibilities:
You will be part of a global team responsible for developing and operating the Digital Workspace, including the Virtual Device (VDI) product. This product provides virtual desktops and apps to customers worldwide, with a focus on both cloud and on-premises delivery.
You will contribute to ensuring the smooth operation of the VDI infrastructure, improving operational excellence, and collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
Main Function:
- Oversee the operations and standardization of the VDI infrastructure, platform, and desktop components
- Verify, plan, and execute maintenance tasks with infrastructure teams
- Focus on improving operational stability through automation and troubleshooting
- Install, configure, and maintain virtual apps and desktop images
- Maintain RDSH servers (e.g., Windows Server, Windows Multisession)
- Configure and maintain Published Application presentation layers (e.g.,
XenApp & Citrix Workspace)
- Apply server and application hardening (e.g., Ivanti)
- Utilize application monitoring tools
