We are looking for a Project Manager to utilize allocated funding to plan, coordinate, implement and manage the IHWCBS project implementation. To contribute to the organizational and funder goals through professional leadership of comprehensive community services with overall strategic integration, program coordination, and health care improvements of the district/sub‐district/nodes in line with allocated budget and project goals and protocols.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all ANOVA Health Institute- programme activities and implementation management at assigned district/sub- district level/nodes.
- Develop and maintain key relationships (liaison) with relevant government department and staff, and other stakeholders with a view of joint problem solving and addressing challenges.
- Collaborate with DOH facilities to implement the COPC policy in all nodes.
- Support the development & implementation of the project in healthcare facilities, communities, schools, DOH and ANOVA workplan.
- Produce a list of strategic partners and stakeholders that are directly linked with programme goals and objectives, constantly work with the various stakeholders to strengthen linkage, and improve outcomes.
- Report project findings to internal and external stakeholders in aid of programme advocacy.
- Manage a diverse team of staff in conjunction with other line managers to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Arrange daily, weekly, monthly meetings with staff and all relevant stakeholders
- Implementation of project as prescribed by DOH SLA
- Monitor outputs in comparison with DOH targets.
- Advise and give input on QIP’s.
- Advise on additional activities to reach targets.
- Set priority actions and activities based on SLA and community needs.
- Ensure timely submission of leave forms and timesheets.
- Fill vacancies as required (in collaboration with HR and CBS project managers).
- Order equipment for operational needs.
- Provide ongoing support to Community coordinators, OTL’s and CHW’s.
- Liaise with PHC to do outreach campaigns.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports of activities.
- Liaise with all stakeholders.
- Take accountability for IT equipment and assets acquired/procured (safekeeping)
- Report losses to IT department/ Program Support and Program Manager
- Prepare and facilitate for DOH Governance M&E; audits.
- Implement quality improvement plans for findings.
- Collaborate with DOH to put corrective measures in place.
- Attend all relevant meetings and give reports on progress.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse
- Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
- Minimum years: 5 - 7 in public health/social development and demonstrated expertise in community care and HIV/AIDS.
- 5 years’ experience proven track record in leading and managing NGOs/NPOs teams and development programs.
- 5 years’ experience as a manager or team supervisor delivering primary healthcare services including HIV/TB/S2TI,
home based care, etc.
- In-depth understanding of programme issues and policy work at local and district level.
- Demonstrated ability in writing and presenting programs.
- In-depth knowledge of the Western Cape Department of Health community programme, programme rules and regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience with budget development and implementation of quality control.
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies
