Hire Resolve's client is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Deputy Unit Manager to join their team in delivering exceptional healthcare services. As a Deputy Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Unit Manager, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Unit Manager in overseeing daily unit operations and managing staff.
- Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring compliance with standards and protocols.
- Supervise nursing staff and provide guidance to promote professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to implementing best practices.
- Monitor patient outcomes and address issues promptly to ensure safe, effective care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
- Assist in managing the unit budget and resource allocation effectively.
- Support in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid SANC registration.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic medical records.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
