Sales Representative (Liquor) required in Stellenbosch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify potential customers from the client base of the distributer.
- Plan sales calls, routes and servicing cycles, in consultation with the distributer’s Sales Representatives.
- Telephone or visit potential or existing customers,
alone or together with Sales Representatives, to promote products and attend to customers’ service requirements.
- Establish and develop relationships with customers by providing information about the product range and educating them about product characteristics, presentation, pairing and consumption preferences.
- Plan and implement sales incentive programmes for Sales Representatives and customers, in consultation with the distributer’s Sales Management.
- To present sales targets an incentive programmes to Sales Representatives and address queries.
- Plan and execute/coordinate product promotions in line with supplier and customer requirements, including procurement of promotional materials.
- Provide input and support to supplier initiated activation marketing campaigns.
- Follow-up with sales representatives to ensure that sales and product promotion plans are effectively implemented, and provide support as may be necessary.
- Monitor sales performance, and analyse and evaluate sales per customer, product category,
range and item, in order to identify performance trends and draw conclusions regarding results.
- Report on results of campaigns, incentive programmes and sales performance to suppliers, sales management and customers, on a regular basis, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor, evaluate, plan and control stock levels in the warehouse.
- Provide input to problem solving in the supply and distribution chain.
- Build collaborative working relationships with Sales Representatives, Sales Managers, Warehousing Managers and Telesales Agents.
Requirements:
- 5-years’ experience in liquor sales preferably to the on-consumption market.
- Proven track record in meeting customer growth and product sales targets.
- Experience in stock planning and control.
- Drivers license and own transport.
- Must be able to work flexible working hours.
