What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)

You'll manage a variety of financial accounting activities for multiple companies, including accounts payable and receivable, maintenance of the fixed asset register, and bank account reconciliation. You'll conduct analytical reviews of monthly profit and loss, and ensure that monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time. Your role will also involve providing financial accounting support to global operational resources and ensuring that all financial records comply with company policies and accounting principles. You'll collaborate closely with finance clerks to meet deadlines and ensure that internal invoices are submitted within group deadlines. Additionally, you'll work alongside the Group Accounting Manager to implement necessary financial controls, ensuring alignment with relevant legislation.

The office is based in Milnerton, Cape Town. For the probation period, you'll be fully office based. Thereafter there will be a day or two work from home here and there (granted you have a stable internet connection and covered in loadshedding). What you'll need







You'll need to have a Bcom degree in finance along with at least 3 years accounting experience (up to Trial Balance). But we'll also consider someone who's done their articles and looking for their first opportunity in an accounting role. We're ideally looking for someone with experience in managing multi-currency transactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential, along with exposure to ERP systems like SAP. We're looking for someone with a technical type industry background - engineering, oil and gas, marine, renewable energy and so on. A keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are critical. If you have project accounting experience and a willingness to learn and adapt, you'll find this role both challenging and rewarding.
