Requirements

- A relevant degree in Built Environment (Civil Engineering, Building

and Construction, Project Management and Architecture

specialisation fields or similar)

- Up to 8 years’ experience required within a facilities maintenance

environment with proven managerial experience







- Sound knowledge of legislative framework related to Recreation

and Parks within a Local Government context

- Computer proficiency
- A valid Code 08 driver’s licence and own vehicle

Key Performance Areas

- Manages capital, operational, and ward allocation projects within

the Area.

- Develops, coordinates and monitors Area maintenance plans for

facilities such as halls, sport pavilions, parks, etc.

- Develops tenders and contract technical specifications.
- Manages the financial control and reporting of projects
- Manages the planning and development function for the Area in

line with Departmental strategies

- Manages human resources within the unit
- Manages and co-ordinates the IT and administrative functions for

the area

- Manages the co-ordination of fixed and movable assets in the area

and provides general support to the area
