The incumbent will provide financial information to Management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)
- Responsibility for the reporting of the monthly AFS Trial balance.
- Management of the annual internal and external audits.
- Managing taxes (Income Tax, VAT and PAYE) with SARS.
- Complete a full monthly balance sheet reconciliation file for review.
- Maintain an accurate fixed asset register, monthly review additions, disposals depreciation testing.
- Intergroup transactions maintain and agree all balances monthly for consolidation and elimination purposes.
- Ensure accurate monthly invoicing and managing of debtors age analysis.
- Bank and cash review all SAP clearing accounts in line with Group Policy and ensure segregation of duty in all cash transactions recorded.
- Accounts payable review age analysis and follow up with Shared Services Provisions and accruals review profit and loss statements.
- Payroll reports monthly reconciliation to financials resolving queries with Group.
- Payroll and Hospital sites (including reconciliation of Provisions and COID).
- Complete analytical review of profit and loss monthly prior to group submission of financial packs.
- Procurement to review GRV and income verification in line with Group Policy.
Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4.
- 3 Year accounting experience in a hospital or medical care facility
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting related field.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- SAP experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Payroll experience essential
