Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
Examine all payments, including employee wages, store salaries, and head office compensation
Record journal entries, perform VAT reconciliations, reconcile the general ledger and payroll systems, and prepare management accounts for analysis and presentation to the directors
Develop the annual budget
Collaborate annually with the insurance broker to assess risk versus cost and present the evaluation to the directors
Manage compliance with COIDA, Employment Equity/SDL, and oversee EMP501s/IRP5s and CIPC submissions
Support the rental portfolio by reviewing lease proposals and agreements, summarizing key details, and arranging bank guarantees
Act as the main point of contact for auditors and SARS
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 to 3 years post-article experience – SAICA or SAIPA
