My client is a leading logistics provider specializing in courier services and warehousing solutions. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Define and implement standard operating procedures for financial processes.
- Provide insights on risks, inefficiencies, profitability,
and opportunities by revenue stream and client.
- Manage client costing, profitability, and credit risk in the commercial process.
- Ensure accurate supplier invoicing for services or goods.
- Monitor and report on budget variances to maximize financial performance.
- Plan and oversee initiatives for customer service excellence.
- Implement governance and compliance policies to manage risk.
- Analyse and report on trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies.
- Develop plans for practice changes with priorities and resource allocation (1-2 years).
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns.
- Assist in budget setting, minimize expenditure, and manage costs effectively.
- Advise on preventing financial wastage.
- Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations, budgets, and forecasts
- Build relationships with stakeholders to enhance customer service.
What do you need:
- A qualified CA(SA)
- Minimum of 3 years' post article experience in respective industry
- Strong business acumen and common sense.
- Great knowledge and skill sets regarding management of people, operations, tax , labour relations, budgeting and cost.
