Civil, Mechanical and Pipeline Infrastructure Contractor for the Bulk Water, Mining, Heavy Industrial, Marine, Energy and Petrochemical Sectors

Our Client in Construction is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position below.

The incumbent will be employed at their Head Office with the requirement to interact with their Sites.

Position: SHERQ Safety Specialist (Tender)Nature of contract: Permanent

Office Location: Bryanston (Gauteng)Site Locations: Head Office

Requirements: Education / Qualification Diploma or Degree or equivalent.SACPCMP Registration and valid CHSO or CHSM number.

Training / Experience Experience in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHERQ) managementsystems (e.g., Specifically ISO 45001).







Skills and Attributes: Strong understanding of SHERQ regulations and standards, including local and internationalrequirements.

Specifically focussed on Safety. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management tools). Experience in the relevant industry or sector is preferred. Ability to compile a SHERQ Management Plan – Project Specific Understanding of SHERQ related documentation and Tender requirements, specifically focussed on

Safety. Understanding of SHERQ related costs, Clear Criminal records

Responsibilities: Thoroughly examine tender documents to identify SHERQ requirements Understand and compilereturnable on the client specification. Compile a Project Specific SHERQ Health and Safety Management Plan/s. Ensure all related tender returnable documents are compiled and submitted timeous to tender departmentper specific tender. Identify and assess the potential impact of SHERQ-related risks from the client specifications. Complete SHERQ checklists and questioners from tender returnable and submit relevant supportingdocumentation e.g.

Company Policies and Company Procedures Attend Weekly Tender Meetings and provide feedback on tender status to SHERQ team Ensure SHERQ Tender register and Folders are updated and maintained Ability to follow up and be stringent with SHERQ team to submit returnable timeous Effective communication to the SHERQ team to provide information on SHERQ returnables Track and monitor compliance with SHERQ requirements throughout the tendering phases. Assist with the establishment of site start up files, upon award of tenders. Assist with any adhoc task that fall under the SHERQ Department responsibilities when workload is quiet
