Senior Duty Manager - Boutique Hotel & Restaurant - Plettenberg Bay
The Senior Duty Manager will oversee the daily operations of both a boutique hotel and a bustling restaurant in Plettenberg Bay. The role demands an experienced, hands-on leader with a strong focus on guest experience, operational efficiency, and team management. This position requires balancing the unique demands of a high-end, intimate hotel setting with the fast pace of a popular restaurant.
Description
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel and restaurant, ensuring high standards of service,
cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate staff, providing guidance and training to ensure exceptional guest service.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Oversee restaurant operations, including managing bookings, coordinating with kitchen staff, and ensuring seamless service during peak times.
- Monitor financial performance, managing budgets, inventory, and staffing to maintain profitability.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to improve service offerings and drive revenue growth.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Act as a key point of contact for VIP guests and ensure personalized service throughout their stay
Profile
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in both hotel and restaurant environments.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
