Overview
Responsible for the internal/counter sales function, support to external sales staff on quotes and customer leads within a branch. Also responsible for sales related admin function. Communicating with customers selling calls to potential customer, and following up on quotes. Understanding customer needs and identifying sales opportunities, Answering calls, questions and sending additional information and product promotions.

Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required
- Applicant should have Grade 12 or the equivalent of National certificate NQF Level 5
- Must have a strong technical background and product knowledge – bearings, seals, power transmission (belts, chain, gearboxes), electrical motors, fasteners
- At least 3 to 5 years proven industry related sales experience
- Skilled in oral and written communication
- Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, ratios and percentages) in order to draw up quotations
- Basic metrology (use of a venier-calliper, reading of technical drawing and basic measurement of components, understanding and application of conversion charts)
- Computer literacy
- Experience in CRM use will be advantageous
Brief Description of key Performance Areas
- Provide respectful, professional and efficient service to telephone customers and walk in customers
- Prepare quotations for customers, follow up on outstanding quotes
- Processing of invoices, managing of credit notes
- Support external sales reps with inventory, quotes and invoices
- Achieve personal and branch sales targets
- Assist with all stock take
- Filing and administration as per ISO requirement
- Reporting (lost sales. Quotes, CAR)
- Participate in ocmpany training initiatives
- Identify and targetting new customers from an internal perspective
- Enroll potential new clients onto the BI online platform
- Promoting new products and specials to the customers
- Manage buy outs
